Coats with the Fur

Can we just take a moment and admire the beauty of these coats? I mean, gorgeous right? Would you believe they are all from Target? Yes, Target. The greatest store in the world! Target hit it right on the bullseye (ha!) with these coats. The long coats are $79.99 and the short fur coats are $49.99 Not bad if I may say so. I am officially obsessed with the long yellow coat and the cream fur coat. --cough cough size L cough cough-- These coats just make me wish it get cold, like yesterday!

Fancy Feet Friday

I think i said this last friday (here) as well as this week (here), but i am so glad this week is over! Not only is it Halloween weekend, but it's finally getting cold. Like freeze your toes off cold. Ok this is Texas, so if it drops into the 50's, its cold. I'm excited to because with cold weather brings cold weather clothes. So next week i'll devote my time to finding the most perfect winter weather accessories. Which ultimately means it'll be 75 by mid week. It's Texas, it's what's expected.

Lady in Red

There is something undeniably sexy about freshly painted red nails. I find myself wearing various shades of red polish year round. Whether it's orange based reds during the summer or deep metallic crimsons in winter, it really is the most versatile color out there today.

Above are some of my favorite colors to use in the winter months. From the most christmasy red to the deepest oxblood, I wear them all. Though I do have to say After Sex & Scarlett O'Hara are my favorite to wear on my hands, but Bungle Jungle & Jag-U-Are are perfect for my toes. And well Leading Lady will win regardless of where you wear her.

I've been in such a blogging slump lately. I think over working my brain at my regular job has finally turned it in to mush. The only thing that makes me happy at this point are my floral pants & my sky high platforms. That and maybe a good nights sleep. Yes! Sleepy time dreaming of the many outfits I can create with these pants! Is it time for bed now?

Fancy Feet Friday

Boy has it been a long week my friends! I'd have to say though. my highlight was definitely the Glamour Daze party. Pretty makeup, pretty desserts, and pretty pink champagne. I need more of these parties sprinkled throughout my weeks. As fun as that was though, I am looking forward to sleeping in all weekend!

Target + Neiman Marcus

I know it feels like Christmas comes earlier each year, but who knew it would be on October 16th! Target & Neiman Marcus unveiled their new collection that we have all been waiting "patiently" to see for what seems like ages. I can't help but wonder if this is going to be mass chaos like the Missoni collection created last year. However, it may be easier to navigate the collections since it be available

at both Target & Neiman Marcus.

Now there's about 50 items by 24 different CFDA designers and prices range from $7.99-$499.99. I've gone through them all, and these are the top items on my list. Really, if anyone wants to get me any of these items, well except the children's clothes, I'd be grateful. Really grateful!

MAC Glamour Daze

Tuesday night, my good friend Pepper and I drove our fabulous selves to MAC in Plano to attend the Glamour Daze event. As every MAC girl knows, when they invite you to a private event to showcase their new line, you go!

The Glamour Daze line is the epitome of girly. Pinks, pearls, iridescence, sexy, & feminine would be he best words to describe this line. It was hard for me to stay within my budget, but I managed to snag two new eye shadows and not break the bank. I'm waiting until the line becomes available to the public on Thursday Oct 25 to decide if I want to buy yet another brush & bag set.

Happy Birthday W!!

Everybody together now! Happy Birthday to W Magazine!

Our beloved W Magazine turns a young 40 years young this month. In honor of this milestone, W has dedicated 4 covers to showcase the past 4 decades. Steven Klein photographed Rooney Mara to represent the 70's, Mia Wasikowska for the 80's, Scarlett Johansson for the 90's and the lovely Keira Knightly for the 2000's. These covers are amazing.

But the question is: which one will you buy? Now if these four don't satisfy your fashion craving for W, you can always purchase W: The First 40 years from Amazon.

I saw these pants last weekend at Gap, and I can't quit thinking about them. Especially the red ones. In fact Gap is having their sale on jeans this weekend, buy one get one for 50% off.

Weekend Wrap Up

We had quite the random cold front come through Dallas this weekend. I wish it could stay longer, but I guess I'll just take this as a preview for what's ahead. The cold and gray weather sent most people to the stores to purchase any piece of warm weather clothing you could buy.

I of course, headed to my favorite places, GAP & Target, to see what goodies I could find. And sure enough GAP was having an additional 40% off the sale price & a sale on jeans. I managed to snag this women's military jacket for about $20! I've been looking for a jacket like this for quite sometime and i scored big time with this one. Target did not disappoint as well. I decided to take home these floral leggings for $12. Cute right? And now that we can wear casual clothes at work for the rest of the year, i'm excited that I can wear these more than just on the weekends.

Black + Gold + Studs

Even though i'm suffering through a cold, it's not holding my back from sharing these new gems I got for my gams. My first ShoeMint purchase arrived the other day. I was a little worried that the 7.5 might not work, but they were perfect! The soft suede fabric feels like butter. But my favorite is the gold details freckled across the toes. The few studs & spikes add a slightly masculine touch that kind of make you feel like a sexy bad ass. Am I right?

Fall Trend: Ox Blood

Ox Blood. Kind of a disturbing trend huh? Ox Blood is burgundy's naughty older sister who is constantly breaking curfew. (see my post on burgundy statement pieces here). I love burgundy, but there's something almost romantic about Ox Blood. Maybe it's my slightly gothic side, but Ox Blood is so rich, it reminds me of the Victoria era. (I keep picturing Brad Pitt from Interview with a Vampire for some reason.)
I truly love red during these winter/fall months, but the same bright and vibrant red I would wear in spring & summer doesn't quite translate into the fall very well. This deep, rich red is such an amazing color for the fall. I prefer to wear it on my feet, nails and in my hair. How will you be wearing ox blood?

Hell on Heels

Saturday night my good friend Pepper invited me to see the Pistol Annies in Ft Worth. To be honest, I'd heard of these ladies, but couldn't tell you if their song was playing on the radio. All I knew is Miranda Lambert was in this all girls group, and what right minded Texas girl doesn't just love Miranda Lambert?

So on a rainy saturday night, we trekked the 50 miles to Ft Worth. Pepper in her best cowboy boots & myself in my best denim shirt! We ate chicken fried steaks & chicken fried chickens the size of the dinner plates at Riscky's Steakhouse. And then wandered the Stockyards until the ladies went on stage at the world's LARGEST honky tonk, Billy Bob's Texas. I may not have been able to see, but i could hear and those ladies sure can sang!

I suggest if you haven't heard these ladies, jump on over to iTunes, buy the album and see if there are any tickets to their shows still available.
